About

WElcome to Walfab

We Supply Design Possibilities

The Walfab Company is a unique and diverse collection of fabric and wallcovering brands developed for residential and hospitality design. Established in 1985, Walfab began as a small niche company catering to the local marine and hotel industries of South Florida. Throughout the years, Walfab has quietly grown into a major textile resource for interior designers, decorators and architects. Today, Walfab designs and creates decorative textile collections, and represents a variety of other textile companies from all over the world.

Our Expertise

Over 35 Years

In the mid 1980’s the Owner and President of The Walfab Company, Rick Donoff decided it was time to build his own textile company after working for industry legends David & Dash and Robert Allen. Rick and his wife Elaine, opened their first showroom in the booming Miami Design District.

Walfab flourished and the business continued to grow for nearly eight years before moving to the premier design center in Broward county, the Design Center of The Americas (DCOTA). Many years later, when the design landscape changed again, the new Walfab Showroom was built adjacent to the company’s office/warehouse in North Miami.

1990's

A Design Destination

During the 1990’s Walfab began to design and develop its signature tropical style which became the foundation for the company’s long standing success. Walfab was quickly becoming a staple brand for designers and decorators throughout the state of Florida.

For nearly fifteen years the Walfab showroom at DCOTA was a destination for the Interior Design community. As Walfab continued to grow its own line of decorative fabrics, it also became the representative for many of the most respected textile companies in the industry. Over the course of its history Walfab has represented companies such as Duralee, Romo, Arte, Anna French and many more until they became large enough to cover the territory themselves.

2000's

Fresh Ideas

In 2005, Rick and Elaine’s daughter, Fina, graduated as a graphic designer and joined The Walfab Company, bringing a whole new set of fresh ideas. In addition to the Walfab brand, the company launched offshoots FinaScot and Donoff Textiles.

Travels to international trade shows presented opportunities for exceptional patterns and designs which were purchased for the Walfab collection. The product line was expanded further by partnering with several European textile companies as distributors in North America.
